it is the month of may once again, and for this day we are all celebrating mother’s day…

being away from my family and all brings back nostalgia… hating this feeling once again… one of the reasons why i don’t call home so often is that nostalgic feeling whenever i get to hear their voices — happy, cheerful, sad, longingness… and that tears me up inside and i would always find myself locked inside the bathroom coz i don’t want my friends seeing me cry like a baby. yep… my family… my waterloo…

to my mama… i am sorry i don’t call that often but you have to keep in mind that i am okay… i have been taking care of myself for the past 3 years or so… there is no need to worry… but being a mom and all, i understand that it is your job to worry. i am fine and doing good… i need you to focus more on being well and healthy, so there’s no need to stress over me. you know i love you more, right? *wink*

it is mother’s day again ma and i didn’t get you anything… but i always pray for you… i do! i’ll get you something when i’m sure that i get to spend mother’s day with you! haha! i miss you and the rest of the family… damn it! nostalgia sinking in…

i remember one sunday, you and papa had a fight and you just needed to get away… you took me to the movies to blow off some steam… we watched independence day… i never really thought you were into sci-fi movies, i liked the movie though but i know there were a lot of things on your mind. i don’t think you understood the movie at all. then we went shopping, you bought yourself and myself clothes! i was ecstatic! forgive me for wishing at that moment that you and papa would have more fights so that we can go to the movies and go shopping again! haha! but i took it back! i swear! *pinkie swear!*

but whenever you and papa are okay… you were like starstruck lovers… always sweet… that would always put a big smile on my face… papa would always crack you up with the lamest joke and you would still laugh heartily! you call each other ‘darling’, sometimes ’sweetheart’…

one time, i guess it was mother’s day, papa woke up really early to surprise you with breakfast and fresh flowers… you woke up and didn’t expect the feast and really wondered where the flowers came from… and then you figured it out, one of the reasons why papa woke up really early — so that he can pick up fresh flowers from the neighbor’s garden without them noticing! that really cracked you up! after all, it’s the thought that counts!and right then i knew how much you loved each other…you were meant to be together!

as for me, i bet the fridge misses my bond paper greetings on its door whenever there’s a special occasion that we all need to remember. i would always wait for everyone to get to sleep before i sneak in to post it… i missed those times! 

before nostalgia engulfs me, i just want to greet you a happy mother’s day! I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!
